Waning Moonby jpochardComment: This image begs for more negative space. It's well lit, but there is a bit of a contrasty bright light reflection at the CH in Champro. I realize we just had a centred composition challenge and centering an image for effect is sometimes really effective. For this one though - I think the rule of thirds would have worked much better to add some drama and interest. 5 |

Baseballby tfarrell23Comment: This is nice and crisp adn sharp. I like the lighting in this as well adn I really like it in black and white. I almost wonder if it may be even better if shot from a different angle - maybe with a narrow DOF, but I'm not sure> it's a minor point. |

Hide and Seekby HollywoodComment: I'm not sure how this fits with the theme. It's a good image though. I almost would like to see this shot from under the grass looking out though - I think putting somethign i the forefront with a narrow DOF would help this image a bit. I love the colours in the grass though. Good luck - you may find your marks suffer because it isn't obvious what kind of a sport this image is depicting. |

If you build it...by jmleliiComment: I thought I commented on this earlier. It looks as though nothing is actually in focus in this one. The colours are cool and the angle is cool, but you need to have something in focus. Maybe try to create some drama with a narrow DOF. |

Row of Eightby Rando D300Comment: This is an excellent subject but I almost wish it was shot frmo a different angle - there's some drama missing here. You can create drama in several ways in your composition - shooting really close to something and creating a narrow DOF, using lots of negative space to enhance the subject, etc. This one looks more like a snapshot than a photograph. The lighting is extrmely harsh - should try to take more pictures in the early morning or at sunset. 5 |

Stanley Cup Playoffsby rogerspaulComment: This is well composed, but I don't find pictures of toys to be as interesting as real people (just a personal preference). However, compared to many of the others in this challenge you did a very good job - 7 |

Batter Up!by L1Comment: I realize this is supposed to look like the bat is hitting the ball, but it looks like it's glued onto the bat and that's a bit distracting. I like the angle of the shot though and I'm glad you chose a bat with rich colours - although the light reflecting into the bat is a bit harsh. Good composition overall though 6 |
