No ABA's that I'm aware of but remember only those that think their addiction is a problem are the ones that go to meetings. So if it's not a problem then no need for the meetings.:) Love everything about this composition. Your angry face is the icing on this angry bird cake. Very funny! love it.

Love, love, love the hand painted background. Super cool and simple idea. Doing this background digitally would have killed the look. Keep doing these. Photoshop can be so overrated if you're not an absolute expert with it. Stick to the basics. Classic through-the-lens editing is sadly slowly becoming a lost art. You being in SoCal should appreciate the classic, hard lighting, Hollywood movie star portraits. Photoshop has its place but don't kill your work with it. I have a book that every budding photographer should have that I refer to often.
Hollywood Portraits - Classic shots and how to take them - by Roger Hicks and Christopher Nisperos (Amphoto Books) ISBN: 0-8174-4020-8

I highly recommend it.

Keep up the great work.

Great composition. I love the fingers pose of the right hand. Not too fond of the very bright spot of light on the left hand palm; it's distracting from her face. A hair light and maybe a small edge kicker light on the model's right side would have better separated her from the background but I'm being picky. Great shot. Love the dress. The model and the dress both compliment each other very well. Great job. Keep it up. Will we see your work in Vogue sometime soon? :)

I don't know why so many people pick 6 when the image clearly deserves more than a 6. What would the average score be if the 6 was removed at the final score calculation? Would the scoring be more fair if it went from 1-5?

Either way, the majority of the scoring of this image is clearly in the higher range which I agree. I love how the smoke trail seems to wind out of the sun. Great job on not letting the sun completely blow out the details.

If I can be a bit picky, the arm just off the shoulder is blown out too much which bothers me and the bracelets almost distract me from her beautiful face but love the details in the eyelashes and other small areas as well. She loved posing for you. The few loose hairs in her face could have been moved before the shot. After looking at it a bit longer, the lighting on the hair on her right side almost make the hair look grayish. She doesn't look old enough to have gray hair. Very beautiful woman and very good pose for her. I bet her eyes are stunning.

The only negative I have for this is that your title is plural (buddies) but I see only one dog which confused me a bit. I am also a dog lover and have two (Bichons) that look very similar to this one. This image would win 1st place in another category other than this one like Best Friend or Companion or something. Beautiful shot nonetheless.

Great composition. Perfect placement of the hiker. I like that there is some orange color in the rocks to compliment the shirt. Great balance of color.

Looks HDRish? That almost makes it look fake but I know it's not. Awesome shot. Love the details and the brilliance. Congrats on first place.
