Thanks for the comment Enzo..but I have to confess to a mistake when filling in the shoot details.It was taken with my 70-200 F2.8 with a 1.5x adaptor.

I missed this when voting but I like it very much.I think the contrast in sharpness between the hoverfly? and flower gives an etherial quality to the image.
Would love to have seen this in colour...that may or may not have added to it`s overall quality but for what it`s worth,I feel it would probably have increased your vote.

From what I can glean from the comments, it appears that you`ve been penalised by some voters for the internal border.
That`s a great pity as this is a real work of art and worth a full point more than it got IMO.
I can never quite understand why people let the frame or border distract them.
For what it`s worth, I thought your border was quite subtle and fitted in well with the image but I`m obviously in the minority.

I like the way you`ve processed this image..the lighting is very effective..it splits the image into horizontal thirds, dark bottom..light middle and back to dark at the top.
