This is very minimalist indeed. Like all other commenters I started with the thumbnail in the forum, and that shows no more than a fairly heavy vignette on top of what looks like a horizon - not much to tempt me to look more closely. In the picture the sea is interesting, the horizon strategically positioned, there is a nice left to right balance and a point of interest right in the middle. The sky shows hardly any detail, yet occupies the larger part of the picture. Lots of room to fill the space with your own memories and fantasies.

Like Kroburg I also spotted the spots ;-). Well captured smoke, and I'd guess the best of probably many shots to get the nicest pattern. Can't comment much, since I've never done this myself. Your colors are very subdues, for a "real" color effect I'd say these would have to be more pronounced.
