I really like this one. I like the blurred background, and the sharp focus of the thistle. Lighting in situations like this can be very challenging, and i'd have loved to see a bit more light on the subject itself. Having said that, your lighting choices did not detract anything. Someone commented that your photo was "not well centered".

Well, GOOD! I espically like the positioning here. I like the subject on the left, and the big black splotch on the right. It lends a subtle balance.

All in all, I think you were ripped off, by at least .25, if not a full half a point or more.

This is technically a very nice photo. Some people might like the extreme contrast of the white sky/dark trees and background, but I think it's a bit too extreme. The perspective of the photo dissapearing directly in the center seems really boring to me. I took your photo, and cropped it a few different ways here.

All in all, I think the basic idea was very good, but could have used with a more interesting orentation, as well as a bit less sharpening in the final image.

I really like this. I like the "blurry moon", and the wasteland appearance of everything. Someone commented that it'd have been better without "the light" in the upper left corner. I disagree. This picture sas something "post apocalyptic" to me.
