I would have given this a higher mark had the eye been softly focused. Normally this would have been a great photo because of the sharpness in the eye, but the challenge is for softness. Still really like this photo! 8/10

Nice title here. Shows a sad but good side. Having a relative myself who's come through this I know you thankful we all are that they are still around and doing fine.

I would have liked the picture to be a little less blue, the tiles are blue, but his t-shirt looks too blue when it is grey. Still, I really like this! 9

The Ring

Not so nice bits first : Looks a tad fake to me IMO. Would someone put their hands up like that when you ask them to marry you? Maybe they would??

The line of your wallpaper takes my eye away from the photo, maybe moving the subject so that there wasn't a line?

Now for the good bits! : The colours in this are nice, good tones all over, the colour of her hair, the skin colour and the purple on the ring box. I also like how you've only shown a little of the ring rather than the whole thing.

I thought to myself that I would have liked to see this a bit sharper to see more details in her face, but I had a wee play with it in PS and her top looks too vivid, so the sharpness is good.

In all a good Surprise picture. 8

Nice colours! I like it how you've showed other balloons, not just the one that's going to pop. They bright light around the pin on the baloon is good too, shows where the needle is sticking in. 9

I like he noise in this picture, adds a nice touch. The expression on the girl doesn't look fake which is good, too many shots in this challenge are too posed.
