Had voted this as a 7, going to explain why it isn't higher.

It's funny, for some reason this shot has really stood out for me. I think I'd have preferred to have seen this desaturated to look more B&W or greyscale. I do like the grain on it, think it adds something extra to it.

I copied the shot to my PC and had a little play with it (hope you don't mind) I desaturated it, ran neat image over it to smooth out some of the grain but then sharpened it. I then added a thin black border round the edges. It made the scales stand out a bit more, stopped the right hand side from fading away.

As I said, I do like this shot, maybe you don't agree with the changes I've suggested etc, PM if you like, but I personally feel a few wee touches in PS would have helped.

The eyes definately have it here!! Perfect focus, the white balance here is right one. No over exposed areas, just how it should be done!! 10

My favourite shot in this challegne, predict good things!!

Perfect focus, DOF is amazing. Such a cute shot, good to see 'Asha' with her ears wide open.

Maybe I'd have liked a faster shutter speed to see what she's trying to eat, but think more about it I like the movement too.

Only distracting but, is that a person under her right ear? (Won't effect your mark though!)

Full marks, well deserved! 10

Maybe a higher shutter speed to capture the tongue instead of it being blurred. 9

I do like this shot, kind of think the eagle looks a little fake.

Obviously it's not etc, but the colours in the feathers seem to blend together too much and the head is a little too sharpened. Did you select the backgroud and blur it a little? 8

I really like this shot! Had the focus been a tad better I would have tipped this as a ribbon.

Not only does it show the aninal behind the zoo bars, it shows a sad side to it's existance. 8
