Old??? If this is old, it is well preserved. Color is certainly blue and meets the challenge. Well focused. I'd rather the left corner was not cut off though. Also a bit brighter or lighter I think. But it could be my monitor. Grayce

I don't really see the benefit of using this horizontal orientation. I makes me have to turn my head, and that is irritating to my neck. I'm assuming you did this by accident and will overlook it, though it is difficult.
This has a lot of potential. I see a well used craft, and nice reflections in water. Certainly meets the challenge. The wood on the bottom which I assume is a dock is a bit distracting. Perhaps showing a little more of it or cropping it out completely would make the composition more cohesive. I really like those reflections and wish there was more of it.
Anyway, best of luck in the composition.

It's not really clear what this is. I see one rosebud, but the rest is very uncertain. Potpourri? The title does help out some. The color supports the title...cold...yes the color is a cold. Well portrayed. Grayce

I love nature shots and this one definetly documents an event. The lighting is excellent and the split second capture is perfect. I wonder how a different crop would be. I'm not sure I like the little bit of land showing above. I took the liberty of editing a copy in PS to illustrate what I am talking about. If you'd like to see it feel free to email me. I do realize my opinion is just that...only an opinion.
All in all I really like this very much and am scoring high. 8 Good luck in the challenge. Grayce

Very nice picture, and yes mysterious looking. I love the stillness, and the color. Quality looks good too...no artifacts, etc, that I can see. It seems to me there is a structure to the right just above the pier. I can't make out what it is, which makes it more intriguing. Good job! Hope to see this on a magazine cover! 8 Grayce

I like this photo. The ttle wouldn't really be appropriate for a monthly magazine, but rather for a daily, since you are counting days here. But back to the photo....I like it very much, but it seems to be more appropriate for a card. The colors are nice and I like the composition. The dof is ok, but the more I look at it, the more I'd like to see the entire image in focus. My eyes just follow the balls back to the rear one, and if it was a clearly focused as the others it would be more pleasing, in this case. Not that I always want to see the whole pic in focus, just in this one. :-)
Good luck in the challenge! Grayce aka Gracious

Very interesting. Convincingly frigid. The only thing I find distracting is the shadow up front. I'd love to have seen a person bundled up in the distance. Good job. Grayce

The overpass here is the real star of the show. It looks like a lovely old structure. As for gridlock...well the picture doesn't really convey that. It looks like it's moving. I like this picture, and love how you handled the coloring. The scene just looks too charming to convey the tension of gridlock. Grayce

My first impression when I saw this image is that it is cropped a little too tight. I'd like to see some head-room above the subjects. Aside from that the composition is good, including just enough background. Looking beyond that I see two beautiful teenaged faces, and a kid peeking over. The faces are a pleasant subject and you successfully managed to expose different skintones beautifully. . That is a difficult thing to do...good job! The dark skinned young man is partially shaded due to his visor and hood, but that works just fine.
Post-processing worked out ok. I think it was a wise choice to remove the grain. I should have done that with mine.
Overall it's a good picture, and would fit in the newspaper.

Well captured and I'm sure it was a touching moment. The perspective is very good, and having the young lady in the corner works well.
