King Arthurby deemerComment: From the literary perspective, I don't get it, (though I'm by no means a scholar of British legend). Nice shot of the Canada Goose though! I love the color family match (Grass to Water) and the color contrast of the goose to them both. Frankly one of the better pictures I've seen of a grounded goose. |

The Railway Children by Edith Nesbitby jonpinkComment: Wonderful shot of the Bristolian. I wish the lanterns weren't burned out, but the range on this shot must have been daunting to capture. I'd love to see a finished print using a contrast mask to increase and control the apparent range of values.
Great image but a bit too literal for the theme.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer´s Stoneby cimarron98Comment: I like the basic use of the elements to make a face. I love the effect of the lights in the glasses! I'm not sure that it call comes together though I fear that I can't put my finger on why.
High marks for the originality though!

grimm fairy talesby photogirl66Comment: Sorry, but this doesn't do it for me. I like the basic idea, but I don't think your execution of the idea does it for me. Thanks for sharing it though. |

Lonesome Doveby scrum8Comment: Nice shot. I do believer that the Dove does indeed seem "lonesome"! Well-executed photo and nice use of negative space.
On a side note, I originally wondered if the immediate background grass could have been lost for better effect, or likewise contrast enhanced for same. After playing with the image in my mind (be afraid) I don't thinks so. Great work!

The Road Less Traveled - Peck, M. Scottby Fibre OptixComment: Good idea, but it feels incomplete or perhaps a bit off the mark for me. I think a dirt road might have been a bit closer to my interpretation here.
From a technical point, well executed, though I do feel rather disoriented by the distortion on the trees. Thanks for sharing it.
