Shadows Of The Past by HomunculusComment: I had to do a double take on this one. Those are staples aren't there? ;) Very well done and a nice concept too. Never forget. |

Black is not the colour of solitudeby ronakComment: The positioning of the subject doesn't really work for me. There is just too much empty space in the photo. Clearly that was your intent so maybe it's just over my head. (no pun intended) |

Lonelinessby rollingstoneComment: I like your use of lighting. It sets a very somner feeling to the subject. The backdrop doesn't really work for me though. Well, it works, but isn't ideal. I think having her sitting alone on a bed or a quilt could have worked better. |

Teddy needs a hug...by SamaraComment: The top to bottom angle and the dark lighting magnify the sense of lonliness. My initial reaction was very negative, but I came back to this photo several times. Each time I revisited, it spoke more to me. |

Alone on a Limbby BigMoComment: Excellent use of DOF and rule of thirds. The sharpness of the leaf contrasts very well with the background. It would have been ideal if there were no leaves in the background, however, blurring them still allows the point to be made. |

Last of the Seasonby mcnamvet1966Comment: I like the concept and the DOF. However, I think the photo could be improved by placing the subject off-center. |

Lonely Mallardby shareinncComment: Alright, where's his girlfirend? They ALWAYS travel in pairs. I guess that makes the subject even more fitting for this challenge. Very nice job capturing the colors of the Mallard and nice choice in positioning. The three stalks of grass covering it are a bit distracting but I suppose he would have swam away if you tried to remove them. |
