I like the picture, if the challenge were something about Animals, I'd rate it a 9, but Recipe, I'd say is off topic - humor notwithstanding - 6 - he appears to be too willing a subject to be a serious candidate for grilling.

I took 7 shots of this scene, thinking it was monochrome enough to convert easily to B&W. However, when I try to convert it in Photoshop Elements, I don't like the results - the gradient in the sky comes out too dappled with very large grains.

Live & learn - I shoulda switched it over to B&W to finish the session. I now have an Olympus C-750 I use as my main camera, and I have the C-700 set up with B&W as its default. ...learning...

A very nice shot - If you could retake this when the cars aren't stopped for the light, I would like it better. A blur of headlights and/or taillights could be a nice effect - shut it down a couple of stops and slow the shutter speed, maybe. Keep up the good work!

exposure tough - bright whites and reallly darks hard to capture - if this picture is about the guy, zoom or crop in - if it's about the water, lower the camera - if it's about the setting, lower your position and raise the camera to get a background
