THAWby ellamayComment: Great capture and use of DOF. Incredible detail in the droplet reflection! This deserves to do well even if we are getting tired of droplet photos! |

Down in the Dumpsby nsoroma79Comment: Great expression and composition. Just a tad more light/detail in the eyes might help it take some ribbons. |

Chairman of the Board by crabappl3Comment: You've done a great job capturing the soft textures of the birds feathers as well as a sharp beak and eyes. I don't know the birds colors; it seems a little limited in color range, but that might be the scene. |

Purple Rainby TerryGeeComment: Beautiful colors and composition. I think you had the DOF just a bit too shallow on this one: I would have iked the front edge of the flower to be sharp as well. |

Dock in the Bay by mbardeenComment: Beautiful colors, and I like the slight wide angle perspective the lens gives the sky. Only little nit would be a bit more detail in the foreground; there's basically (on my monitor) all black in the lower left corner and that detracts slightly IMHO. Still a good chance for a ribbon here! Good luck. |

Waitingby karmatComment: A beautiful shot overall! Although I really like the angle of the child, it might be nice to tilt it a little left to make the tree appear more vertical here. Or maybe a perspective adjustment. Anyway, it's a wonderful shot as is! One of my ribbon picks. |

Supacrossby tomlewis1980Comment: Excellent capture, and the shallow depth of field here works to bring out the front rider (of these two anyway). Of course, it would be better without the peple standing behind, but there's little you could do here. Maybe at least crop the very top, where the fellows hand is, that' being lighter it stands out. |

New Year's Eveby timmiComment: Very nice sky. Good capture of the rays. Would have loved to see more pronounced sillouettes (maybe from a little higher elevation you could see them) and without the power lines (not too much you could do about that I'm afraid!) |
