This is such a gorgeous image. Absolutely love the placement of the feet and the gentle touch on the foot. I think Ben would be proud.

Nice light and contrast. Has an apologetic feel to it.

Would like this better without the hand; however, maybe I am missing the relevance. Nice take on the challenge. (voted earlier)

I went ahead, out of curiosity, and copied a version into PS and did some BW messing around, and it turns out some interesting results, but they are a totally different feel from what you got here. They look almost abstract, and are a giant departure from the obvious scene we have here. I'm not really sure if I prefer it one way or the other, since it really depends what sort of a feeling you wanted to cast as to which is "better."
Here's what I mean...

In any case, emphasizing the contrast a bit might have helped this, and differentiated the posts from the water.

i think the bw suggestion is a good one, or increasing the contrast between the "roots" of the plants and their leading lines, so they stand out from the water more

Very very green. It's probably just me but I would love to see this in B&W.

I love your title. Your timing was good for capturing this pose. I love her outfit too. I'm not sure if you can do it with your camera, but for an indoor lighting shot, I'd try and change the F-stop number. Get it as low as possible (use the f 4.5). This means the aperature is bigger, and more light will get in. More light means you can use a faster shutter speed and that starts to cut down on the possibility of blurring the shot.

You have a great eye for these types of moments. I can't wait to see more of your work :)

While this is an interesting effect in any case, I certainly wouldn't have guessed that it was taken during a performance, assuming instead that it was a setup. In that case, very effective use of metering- it adds greatly to the moody feel of her pose.
