An engaging series. I particularly like the first and last shots. There is a similarity between the expression of the older man behind the glass in the first, and the V for Vendetta mask on the black queen and bucket in the last shot. In fact there are subtle references all throughout the essay of one kind or another. I like the essays open ended nature within the seemingly tight format. Well done.

Another captivating soliloquy. It embodies some of the essence of NY, layer upon layer of grime and social consciousness, with the current generation of the living building their own layer and story. The more they tell you the less you know, to paraphrase Diane Arbus. I like the long shadows, the high contrasts and active stillness. For a metropolis, it seems lonely. Well done.

I love this first image, actually all of them. There is a sense of the melancholic, almost spiritual, or maybe a rustic ritualism. One of those ethereal pondering always hinted at in conversation but never with confirmation of subject matter. And so it shouldn't be.
