Calmnessby BrinComment: I really like the message I got from this. At first, alarm that the spool is falling thru the air. Then seeing the water line. So that's the message, calm down, everything is as it should be. |

56 Evolutionby RKTComment: O technical merits alone this is a 6, however it doesn't say zen to me. I'll add another point because I'm to dense to understand the zen and I like it anyway. |

Seedheadby lwiley212Comment: First impression. Good exposure, focused but maybe to centered. The colors are happy but mellow.
Additional: I think there are some good lines interacting with the flower in the upper right. The ones on the left are distracting. So maybe a different composition. Take out the grass on the left side and in front of the flower, move the flower down to the lower left and show more of the grasses above the flower and in the right side. I really like the fan shape of that grass on the right. |

Feather Softby scarbrdComment: I really like the ripple and the idea. It looks like the feather and water are two different pictures because of the reflection more than anything else. I like how the feather is nice and clear but dislike how the water looks overprocessed. It causes an imbalance in the perception of the overall picture. |

Sleeping Little Angelby piggy82Comment: I know you can do better. I'd love to see some pictures of this baby that has some thought put into them! Such as composition, dof, lighting.
That was really mean. I apologize. It's just that the baby is cute and there is so much more that could be done to make this a better picture.
Maybe rearranging the bedding so it doesn't cover so much of the frame and getting a more unique composition without cutting off her little hand. A close up of the face would have been nice and you wouldn't have to wake her up to rearrange the bedding. It would bring out those wonderful baby eyelashes. |

Nature Zenby susiComment: I can see how the photographer would be proud of this. What perfect placement! But it is a bit dissappointing that it is blurred. |

Reflectingby Ecce_SignumComment: First impression: The red is fuzzy. Nice tension of between the position of the pearl and the wave of red. The colors are more exciting than calm.
Even though the subject(pearl) is in focus, the lack of focus on the long line between the red and blue will cause a lot of people to say this isn't in focus and score accordingly. |

the heart of the matterby IreneMComment: First impression: There is color banding that makes the photo look as if it has water stains on it. Interesting choice of subject.
This isn't something that would traditionally score well on dpc. So I'll read your comments after the challenge ends. |
