Used a bin bag for this image. This is the fold at the bottom of the bag. I held the camera inside the bag in front of a window. Natural light and a macro lens.
After post processing I decided that, when inverted, the image seemed to suit the challenge details more. I hope this works for the voters.

Interesting that you noticed that comment (which really bothered me at the time) because I hadn't seen anything similar to the image I did at any time beforehand. I only thought about using the plastic bag because the cleaning lady at work left a roll of them by mistake in my office ;-)

Maybe I rained on that guys parade... ;-))

I'm trying to figure out what exactly this means....

Irene is definitely one photographer here that has her own style.

I cannot believe this is a plastic bag. When I voted on it I thought, scarf, maybe a bridal veil. Well done.

I like the idea a lot. I wish the connecting point was more in the bottom third though.

wow. i cant tell what thats is but the photo is pretty cool. it's possibly too intruiging and dynamic to offer me a zen feel. but very cool none the less.

I can't wait to find out what this is!! I like the composition although I am not sure this fits with my idea of 'Zen'

First impression: There is color banding that makes the photo look as if it has water stains on it. Interesting choice of subject.
This isn't something that would traditionally score well on dpc. So I'll read your comments after the challenge ends.

Zen photography and this theme with the plastic bags is a bit fogged to death, but
still it is very good I gave a 7

i like this, can't quite figure out why. That could be the point I suppose. I'm drawn to the intensity of teh center seam, somthng essential about it. Thanks

This does not have the overall feeling of peace and serenity that I look for in zen photography.

this is a very interesting and unusual photo brings calmness straight from the centre, well done

This is an interesting image. I like the material you've used and the textures it presents. I like how the lighting plays across it. The yellow/greenish banding in certain areas detracts greatly (and I've checked this on 3 monitors now). Possibly a shallower DOF would enhance the shot. Composition is nice. This has a very edgy feel to me though, something that might have been muted with a little blur or more subdued lighting especially in that center hotspot. It doesn't show me harmony or serenity and even though it is a simple object it is a very complex arrangement of lines for the eyes to follow. So I'm judging it a good photo that wasn't so hot for this challenge. 5.

Although this is tonally very soft, it is too busy to be considered 'zen'...
