Rose Raindropsby toskComment: I can see how the rose was offset in the composition. It's a bit sad that the bud had to be cut off because I think it would have been a lovely addition to the composition. This might be a little overexposed but it could be because it was overcast and so there was a lack of shadows and that cut down on the contrast. Even so, underexposing might have brought out more detail. |

Driving Rainby obsidianComment: My first impression is that there was a lot of smoothing done in post processing so that there is no definition in either the rain drops or the outside scene. I like how rain distorts things but there isn't that part left to this picture. The dashboard could be cropped out without messing up the composition. |

Raindropsby BeckyTComment: I've come to the conclusion that waterdrops have to be placed at stragetic places to have impact. The best place is at the tip of whatever is holding the drop. In this case, the tip of the blade of grass.
Now let's look at the composition. The subject has been isolated as much as possible which is good. But is all the background needed? What impression does the piece of cut grass give to the viewer? And that brown piece behind the subject? Would tilting the camera help? If the blade of grass would have a upwards or downwards tilt would it be more dynamic? |

Left out in the rain!by cislanderComment: The on-camera flash is causing shadows and has washed out some of the color. The color combination is good. Overall the photo doesn't have a lot of impact but I wouldn't know what to say to help you get a better score. Even if natural light was used, I don't think this would be a high scorer because of the subject matter. |

Happy to get a break!by abroken1Comment: I like the green curve and the distorted garden tool toys. The turtle face and the castle distract from that. Composing this tighter and moving the castle out of the way would have created a very pleasant picture. |

Remnants of a Morning Showerby EssAreDubyaComment: To me, the best part of a water drop picture is the water drops themselves. In this picture that area of the frame is dark. Is it important that the viewer knows the season? Why is the green section included? Just some things to think about. |

Untitledby PollyBeanComment: The colors are a bit awkward. You have tried to cut down on the distractions within the frame. That is one of the hardest parts for me. Maybe the curves adjustment caused the color problem. I almost always convert to b/w when the colors start going goofy. With the pcture as it is, the voters will knock off points for the color, with b/w you would not lose those points. |

Rain Rippleby willhaleComment: Lets consider the things that have been framed here. The ripple, the grass and that big out-of-focus thing(I have no idea what it is) that is taking up 1/3 of the frame. What is it that you wanted the voters to see? The ripple. When composing, keep in mind that you want to limit the things in the frame to only what you want the viewer to see. Your score will be sure to improve. |

Flower in the rainby KaveranComment: It looks overexposed and the magenta/pink is oversaturated. I avoid magenta because it is the most difficult color to work with. It seems to not have much forgivness in it as far as color clipping goes. |

Rain dropsby avbComment: This has a lot of little things that make it likeable. The sunburst effect of the two drops, the alignment of the flowers, the nice bokeh. But in the end the overall presentation is lacking. I don't know what to tell you. |
