Exclamation!by tolovemoonComment: I look at this and think of all kinds of possibilities. Not that you didn't do a good job. All of the parts are so simple and interesting. Two black rectangles and two circles. I would love to see some more shots if you experiment with the composition and lighting. |

Black Hatby C_Steve_GComment: The light on top and outlining the faceplate adds a nice touch to the photo altough I would have liked more light all the way around the faceplate. It looks like the texture of leather in the background, but my monitor isn't able to bring it out very well. If it is, I compliment you on the perfect choice of background. I had scored this 4 but because of your background, I'll bump up your score. If you edit on a mac, you might want to increase your gamma setting. If you don't, I apologize. |

Night Riderby ArmadilloComment: More than likely there is a story behind this! To me it looks displaced from the holloween challenge. Sorry.
As far as the exposure goes, you got a lot of details in, which is good and the focus is right on. IMO, there is a bit too much negative space above the subject. |

In The Theaterby alternaruleComment: Now I know what it feels like when people look at my abstracts. I like the lower part of the picture but there is something about the upper right that doesn't feel right. I think it's the red-pink part and the green highlight which I would like to extend all the way across the corner. The texture is great.
It's a keyboard? Can tell more from the thumbnail than from the actual picture. Did you use a filter to get the effect? I like it. |

Elegant Openingsby JaguarComment: I want to like this because I think the technical side of things are well done. But when I look at it, I get confused. I hate to say that. The amount of detail says I should be able to identify the object, but I can't. It might be improved if the table wasn't reflected in the chrome parts, that seems to be what's confusing me. |

Coffee, BLACK...by tfarrell23Comment: Love the composition. Cutting off all the curves reduces the object to a pleasing abstract where one is forced to look at the darkness within the cup. Not such a big fan of the overworked colors. I would like to see an unaltered version after the challenge is over. |

Gated Communityby sherComment: My eye started in the upper right down to the center left and then to the lower right. Exactly what should happen with a well composed photo. One thing that I would like to suggest would be to have the right side a little more in focus? |

Black Pottery of Northern Mexicoby lwkimagesComment: Wonderful simplicity and complexity. It would be hard to say what this was without the title. Good choice to show the light source within the composition. Everything is perfect, imo. It was a pleasure to look at this. |

Teapotby maelmsComment: Great control of the important things, especially the light. Interesting placement of the lights. This is evidently a good photo, so I feel odd saying this, but did you try a square crop? It might have contrasted nicely with the roundness of the pot. |
