John Deereby agrimaceComment: Very well taken picture. Nice clarity and tonal range.
Sorry, but green is the essence of that name. It ain't a jd unless it's green. |

When I am an old woman, I shall wear purpleby GinaRothfelsComment: That's my friends favorite poem. I like how the title really ties in with the photo and you did the technique properly. It seems to me that the exposure was off or there was too much post processing done. The grays in the foreground are dull and the water and other bank are overexposed. If I was working on this one, I would have created a duplicate layer and erased the woman and the foreground (or created a mask) and blended the light portions with a multiply mode. That would have at least given a more even tonal value to the picture. But then again, what am I thinking? |

Lights Outby bruskiComment: The more I look at this, the more I like it. The whole appeal of it is how it's nestled within the inside frame. Without that inner square, the photo wouldn't be nearly as interesting though I have to agree with the other commenters about the neck being cut off. If you should ever reshoot it, try getting it all the way in, but make the neck more angled so just the it and base can be applied on another layer so they run out of the inside frame and into the outside frame. I can see it so clearly in my head that way.
Anyway, a very creative shot. |

Sleeping With One Eye Openby EddyGComment: It looks like they are sitting on a moose head. I like the composition. It's not often anyone will use portrait orientation but it works really well here. The first duck looks a little oversharpened, but other than that, I like it. |

Iris near fence copy.jpgby Crafty SueComment: I like this and think the fence gives it a graphic quality not usually seen on flower pictures. It might be fun to take another one a little futher away so you could use the rule of thirds for the flower and get more of the fence into the shot. |

P5100124_small.jpgby drgsoellComment: The colors are striking! I think the green of the grass goes with the rust. I aggree with cropping out the white area on the left. Excellent detail. |
