OHMIGOD THAT POOR BEETLE!!!!! :~( Its a perfect photo for the challenge but technically not such a great photo due to the lighting and positioning.

Try using rule of thirds. Instead of cutting this right in half put your horizon on the top third so that we can see more of your subject, the "Mirror Image"

Its a good picture that needs a little bit of work. First of all I'd start by focusing on the calculator since you have the "hello" message there and the topic is upside down, this is your subject afterall. The next thing would be to get out of wherever you were and put your model and the subject in a differnt enviornment that isn't so distracting. The background at the right side of the picture detracts from the picture.

I think you may have gone just a tad too far on the whole upside down thing. Just taking a picture of the reflection would have been nice. I would also have moved the horizon down to the the rule of 3rds line.
