LOL. I also just got that it was not real! I am such a dork. Had I figured that out when voting, I would have definitely bumped up my score (though I still gave it a 7). Very nice job - :)

I would just like to say thanks to all who commented on my photo. I got some real good ones.
That is all right chariot. It was ment to fool ya. It took about 30 shots of the beetle in different areas of my front yard and decided to go with this because of the van in the background. I thought it would be a fun picture and didn't think it would do so well, but I was wrong. I have accompished my goal and got over 6.0. Thanks again

DAMNIT!! Was I the only person who thought it was real on here?! I guess it was an emotional response. :)

is that the way VWs sleep? cool shot

You know, if you had cut the grass really, really really short on the left side, I would have been convinced that this was a real Beetle. You have done an excellent job, in my opinion, of "composing" the background to make the subject seem larger than it is. Great job.

Heheheh.... I bet you fool a lot of people with this one!

On first viewing, I thought this was a real car, but on subsequent I worked out that it was a toy - much like people are doing with my shot of the plane, its the grass that gives away the scale :o) Good lighting and imagination!

Clever idea! I love how you got the real car in the background.

you had me for minute there. only a second careful look showed the size of the grass blades in relation tothe car. Well done!

haha, good job making it look authentic, it really worked nicely

When I first saw this, I thought, "Wow, someone got lucky and found a flipped car after all!" Nice little optical illusion. I think I would have tried to further that illusion by shooting it away from the grass that your flash managed to catch. The trees and other things, if far enough in the background wouldn't be an issue in terms of relative size. I'd also like to see it in daylight specifically to play off those trees and that car in the background and some other things. Maybe not possible, but I think it would be fun to try. Good work. :-)

I love the way you turned the car upside-down. Makes for a humourous shot.. I also like the other car to the right, just slightly in the background, it proves there weren't any obvious camera tricks envolved. Did that scratch the paintwork?

In the thumbnail, this looks like a real car. Very original. Good macro.

A very clever shot. The car in the background adds a touch of realism. Perhaps the shot could have been composed and cropped a little tighter to reduce the distraction of excessive sky.

Man... that's some tall grass. I sure hope no toy people were hurt. The car and streetlight in the bg work for {fake} perspective. Actually, without the grass and sharpening you might have had me going. Nicely done.

I'd try less harsh lighting to make the look more subtl; an effective setting anyway...

Imaginative......kind of large grass blades, though ;~).

Great angle to produce the scale. A daylight shot would've been better.

Haha, nice angle Looks real at first glance.... I was sure i woudl have to ask for this to be disqualified.. VERY nice work.

OHMIGOD THAT POOR BEETLE!!!!! :~( Its a perfect photo for the challenge but technically not such a great photo due to the lighting and positioning.

You caught great color in the sky... It really mirrors the shade of the car.

It took quite a few views of this picture for me to realise what this really was, and what it wasnt...

From the thumbnail it looked like a real car! But then I zoomed in :) If it were real this would win for sure -- hopefully you'll be able to fool a lot of people! Still getting high votes from me though..
