Congrats on the ribbon. I really like that the composition isn't centered. The variance in how much of the pens you see at the bottom, top and sides adds interest. Very nice and well deserved.

Yep. I'm going to agree with the prominence of the foreground rock as the detractor for me. I love the expressions, though and gave it a 6.

I gave it a 6. While I don't object to strong highlights, I think that two hot spots lined up vertically on the left overpowered the subject. I think I might have tried a tighter crop and cloned out the pinpoint hot spots on the duck's reflection. I do like the color warmth and overall mood conveyed.
