Straight Up by peterComment: If only the tree in the upper left corner was gone, this shot would be perfect! It is very distracting.
However, since this is a Basic Challenge, there really isn't much you can do about it unfortunately.

Above and Belowby mickwestComment: I think you could have cropped away the top half of this picture and still had it be effective. The main "parallel lines" are in the bottom half, and the too much sky is distracting from what is actually interesting in the photograph. 5 |

What I like about this picture is that while the parallel lines of the pillars give a distinctive mood to the picture, it is not the main subject. Too many pictures in this contest have the parallel lines taking over. |
