Sweeney Toddby Alex_PetriniComment: Great scene! I would have loved to see a more dramatic lighting, closer to what you see in the movie. Perhaps using just one flash on a side and a reflector on the other to give more depth and to make the background disappear? Just a thought, great shot though! |

That would have been an excellent title! |

Found missing!by pixelstudioComment: Thanks for the comments. I came up with the oxymoron idea and created the poster. I have this nice brick wall in my house and it was perfect for this shot. Picked a photo of a cat, printed the poster, stuck it to the wall and took the shot. Processing was all done in Lightroom, playing with contrast, saturation, exposure, etc. |

Daydreamingby pixelstudioComment: If anyone is curious about the lighting, I used 24W (equivalent to 100W of light) CFL bulbs mounted on a clamp reflector. Three on the top right, two on the bottom left. These provide really nice soft light.
Post-processing is simple and the key is something that I do on most on my pictures: I use a duplicate layer with the usual Gaussian blur in soft light layer mode and another layer with a High Pass filter set to around 50%, with an adjustment layer set to saturation. I slightly decrease saturation until I find the right colors.
Thanks for the great feedback! This was a really fun photo shoot! Message edited by author 2010-08-08 12:30:58. |

Abstract Existenceby dwyllieComment: Pattern is beautiful. I would have loved it more if the person wasn't in motion. It kind of distracts my eyes too much from the great symmetry of the church. |

Basilique Notre-Dameby KarenNfldComment: Beautiful shot. I would, however, processed this as HDR. Also, I know it's hard to straighten the shot when you use a wide angle but I do think it's a bit tilted to the right. |
