Saw your post about wanting a challenge excluding DSLR users and requesting that people look at your photos and tell you if you are wasting your time. I am not familiar with your camera, but I can tell you that you do have a good eye. The problem with this particular shot is that it is noisy. Look at the thorns... all around they are pixelated. Now this could come from your camera itself (I don't know anything about your camera so I can't say for sure) or it could come from the resizing. What size do your images come out of the camera at? Is all that noise there on your original? Have you thought about using another editing program like Paint Shop Pro or Photo Shop? Feel free to PM me and we can chat.
