A rider out at the track... one of the things they like to do is look right at the camera on their jumps. When the sports challenge came up, I knew I could enter this one! Only thing is, the best thing I know how to shoot for sports is Motocross - so I hope it isn't already a tired approach to the topic.

PP:
Levels - all channels
Selective Color - most channels
Brightness / Contrast
Curves

Most of the PP was to bring out the blue in the sky and brighten up the reds and whites.

I hope you enjoy!

Great shot - like how you got the rider looking into the camera - just would have liked to see something underneath to give an idea of the height- if that was possible

8 - Good shot, good attitude of the rider, good pose. Criticism; enhancing the chrome that is already semi shining. Sharper, bolder, closer.

i've been waiting a while to see a clean shot. one of the rare shots that used the background to enhance the subject.

I like the crop. I bet it'd look even better if there were some clouds in the sky or the sun setting. I still really like this one. 8

excellent capture, love 'the look'. probably could have stood to have pushed the saturization up slightly and sharpened it just a hair, but, all the same, great work, expect to see this close to the top.

I know he is catching a lot of air there but if you could have given a land reference, the impact of height might have made a more powerful photo.
