Hmm... I should elaborate, it was quite late at night here when I wrote that, and I'd been drinking some scotch :). I love your use of depth of field and framing around the little girl to make her such a strong focal point. Her wide-eyed little urchin expression is so universal and intense, in the midst of what is obviously some crushing poverty. This is the kind of photo that makes me wish I could change the world. That's a huge achievement.

I didn't get to comment on this before, but this was a photo I just barely held back from giving a 10 (I gave it 9 instead). I love the colours. It seems like a watercolour or an ink drawing. Something about it is weird and offbeat and strongly appeals to me.

I love the colours and the framing of this. The lighting is so soft and warm. This is one of those photos where you can see the loving care the photographer put into it, making sure everything was just right, but not to the point that it kills the feeling of life and spontaneity in it. 10 - lisae

This photo really appeals to me. I think part of it is the juxtaposition of the shiny metal and the texture of the carpet/rug. Also the parallel bright orange highlights on the spoon against the lines of the rug catch my eye. There are some great directional elements here all over the place. It doesn't have a lot of emotion, but it grabs me aesthetically. 10 - lisae
