Right on Schedule...Amtrak 165by OneSweetSinComment: Interesting angle, and evocative of a certain mood I feel when I'm waiting on a train platform, especially in winter. However, overall the photo lacks strong interest. It's subtle and muted. |

Pipe Dreamsby greenem2Comment: Very, very cool. I love the shallow DOF, the rakish composition, and the vivid colours. The teeny scratches on that pipe stem are neat. 10! |

Harris Hawkby scrooslooseComment: Pretty. I like the detail in the feathers and the way you caught the hawk's head in profile. The pleasantly blurry snowy background is well done. Nice framing. |

Waves in Flag by DennisFComment: This is a technically perfect photo of an American flag, with colours that will probably make a lot of people say "WOW! those colours POP!". But photos like this leave me cold... not because of the subject matter, more because of the crisp "perfect" look. I could render this in a 3D program and not be able to tell the difference. |

Could be used for an Ad (right side available for text)by dimitriiComment: Hehe, the title is a bit over the top... I'm not sure you took this challenge seriously. However, I absolutely LOVE this photo! It's so dramatic and cool, full of movement, personality and atmosphere, the kind of wild creativity we don't get much here. I'm giving it 10 and putting it in my favourites as soon as the challenge is over. |

Fresh Bedsheetsby tcherringComment: Nice soft lighting, and the use of the sheets is interesting, but there's something wrong with the composition here in my opinion. It just seems strange to me. |

The face isn't a child, it's me!
Edit: Thanks for revising your comments. I wasn't annoyed that you misinterpreted the photo... I was just surprised :). The way you saw it is perfectly valid and I'm glad you were so inspired by it. How could I not be? :) Message edited by author 2003-02-26 10:29:27. |

Almost Goneby JPRComment: Whoa, you outdid yourself! What an amazing photo. If I'd voted I would have given it a 10.
I'll never be first on our camera's page now... ah well :). |

Hip Repetitionby lisaeComment: Hehe, I knew this one would score pretty low, but I got so sick of the style of photos I've been taking lately. I wanted to break out and do something colourful, unfocussed and wild.
The "overprocessed" look is there because I had to use despeckle. My camera has a horrible scattering of hot pixels on long exposure shots. I like the end result though, personally. |

Actually, the sad thing about this photo is that only a few days later, we've decided we're going to split up. But it's OK, we're still friends. |
