One Steals Homeby cthenkComment: Brilliant action shot. The black and white works really well in my opinion, placing more emphasis on the shapes and movement than on particular objects. |

Sunday Morning Thumb Wrestlingby lisaeComment: I included the knees in the framing of this photo because the subject wasn't really the thumb wrestling as much as the relationship between the two people. The knees show their proximity and orientation, ie. enough information for you to know they're close together and facing each other without including the whole bodies. Because of this, I really like the comment that this is a father and son (even though I had a moonstone ring on my thumb), since it shows that I captured a relationship at least for some people. The black and white was partly because of the reason I gave in the details, partly because it set the hands off better against the background, and partly because my camera can create bands of noise in dark areas, which were mostly removed in the black and white version. I took quite a few photos and chose this one because it had the most motion blur on the thumbs. It's funny how people either love the blur or hate it :) Oh, and I really think that bodyhair thing some people have is cultural. Australian men are proud of their hair :) |

Days Gone By by tlalondeComment: This is a very atmospheric photo with a great sense of narrative. I like it a lot. |

High Rollerby connieComment: The motion blur on the die is very effective, but unfortunately the hand has become a big, pink blob, which I think is a bit distracting. Cool photo though. |

Hide and seekby daverx7Comment: I love this photo, such tiny boys and such a big tree. They look virtually lilliputian :) |

Waiting on the three two by hokieComment: Gorgeous :). The feeling of expectation and tension here is really powerful. I love the use of silhouettes, creating a tight focus on the body language of the people. Definitely a 10 from me. |

Double Ninesby RonSBComment: This is a nice abstract photo, but a bit dull for me. Many of the photos in this challenge leave me craving something organic, real, living, disordered... oh well :) I guess with dominoes there's always the anticipation of that moment when you get to knock them over. |

Midnight golfingby arnitComment: Great silhouette, well framed. I feel like I want to see more of the body though, if you could possibly have gotten the camera down to a lower angle. |

Preaknessby ClubJuggleComment: This is just a brilliant photo. I like pretty much everything about it, including the fact that the horse's shoulder is at the centre of the photo, leading the eye to wander around the shapes made by the rider's arms curving down to the bridle, and the rider's upper legs angling down to the horse's foreleg. It makes the horse and rider seem like one unit. There is even a parallel between the angle of the rider's head and the horse's head. A photo I can gaze at for a long time. I guess I'll have to give it 10 :) |
