The Beachby wolfjackComment: I like the effect of the picture dividing into 3 zones: shadow detail, highlight details, and no detail. I'd like to run it through a bunch of blurring filters and see how it would look asthe basis for an "abstract" piece... |

Capturedby CountComment: I like your idea of doing a kind of "reverse silhouette." Conveys a lot of "information without much "data." |

Time Marches On...by AleciaComment: Parts look a little over-sharpened to me...sometimes hard to predict how much the final JPEG compression will affect that. |

The Lookby RemieComment: I'd have tried to not lose the detail in the brightest highlights, but that might be your choice to force the viewer to the eye. BTW -- this would be a great sumbission to the Mirror Project, if you need yet another photo project (//www.mirrorproject.com). |

Smileby jhcrossComment: "Remember, pretty soon my agent's gonna start charging for these sessions!" The (kid's) left ear seems quite a bit lighter than the rest of the visible skin, but I didn't really notice until I went back and looked again. I might adjust it if I was going to go back and print it. |

Self Portraitby BambooChicaComment: Good job with a "difficult subject." I'm curious as to how you shot this (timer, manual, remote) an how much you had to crop the original frame (if you have time after the voting's over). |

Intensityby jasonmccarthyComment: I want a pediatric OR cap with balloons printed on it (if that is what that is, that is)! Having things a little brighter overall might help covey a more optimistic outcome (if that's what you want to convey, of course). |

Dark Towerby eddyComment: I hope you had Gandalf along with you for "protection" ... |
