Ewwww What a stink!by lytaComment: The cropped body of the bird in the bottom right leads my eyes out of the image. The image would have been improved by more diffused lighting. |

Nesting Mother Duckby JutildaComment: Although the green nicely complements the colors of the duck, the way that the foliage occludes the subject more than negates the benefit. Perhaps a slightly different angle and a wider crop would have accomplished a similar result without the green blurs in the foreground. |

Kookyby moodvilleComment: Maybe it's just a trick of the light, but the left half of this image seems to be less sharply focused than the right half. |

Royal Bluesby lwphotographyComment: It may just be the overall darkness of the image, but this seems somewhat underexposed. A catchlight in the eye would have given this image an extra kick. |

Red Birdby CaaneComment: The soft, almost impressionistic focus on the bird might be an asset if not for the relatively sharp focus on the tree branch.

Mother Said Soby CalliopeKelComment: This image has been so over-processed that it looks more like a painting than a photograph. The colors look very unnatural. |

Gooseby ladyhawk22Comment: I really like the texture of the feathers and the reflected clouds, but the bird's face is dramatically underexposed. The face probably could have been brought into better light by adjusting the curves somewhat. |

Voyagersby Bear_MusicComment: Based on the exposure and the center of focus, I'd say that this were an entry in a boats challenge. It's a nice boat picture, but the odd color cast does make it feel somewhat artificial. |

Emuby RissaComment: The light on these birds is rather harsh. A little more light around it's eye would have improved the image dramatically. |

California Quail!by RentrenzComment: The light on these birds is rather harsh. The textures of their feathers and the fence would have been much better when viewed farther away from noon. |
