Dynamic Linesby trnqltyComment: I would like this better if there were some reference point which allowed me to get a sense of scale. |

The D Lineby pawdrixComment: The sharpening and selective desaturation make the D look pasted in, which detracts from the photo's impact. |

Crossby zetosComment: With a composition so minimalistic I'd like to see either sharp focus or a visible reason for the soft focus. If the focus were softer still this might make an interesting abstract. |

Dandelions and Lilliesby beafliesComment: Adding a hair light to the dandelion would have helped to separate it from the lily. I don't care for the warm color cast. A slightly closer crop would have rendered this an abstract (which I like, but they often don't do well at DPC). I really like this concept. |

Divine Leviathanby KitKatComment: Increasing the contrast and altering the saturation (either pushing up the blue by +-20% or converting this to B&W) would have given this image a boost. |

Dimethoxybenzene & Lecithinby TallblokeComment: Higher contrast and burning out the window a little bit to bring out the patterns in the smoke would have given this image an added kick. |

Darkness and Lightby nordicComment: Are those specks sheep? I really like this image, but I think that I'd prefer to either see the sheep cloned out or the foreground cropped out to allow me to see enough detail to verify that those are sheep. |

Dark & Lightby ccaseyComment: This is the most dramatic of the 15 images captioned "Dark & Light" that I've seen so far in this challenge. The horizon doesn't appear to be level; the silhouette of the buildings doesn't provide me with much perspective information, so the unbalanced profile is primarily responsible for this feeling. The clouds and architectural profile complement one another. My only suggestion would be to dodge & burn the cloud at 1 o'clock a bit to bring it back from being a patch of flat grey. |

Dogs and Laceby LeeDComment: The irony and novelty factors are both quite high in this image. However, the dog's position makes the lingerie hard to recognize. |

Dictionaries and "L"by 2hooComment: The text on the open dictionary, particularly that seen through the glasses, looks fake, perhaps as a result of oversharpening. The illumination and color draw my eyes to the bottom right corner of the image, and it took me a moment to realize that the glasses were the intended focal point. This is a solid concept; better illumination, a shallower DoF and perhaps converting this to B&W could have made this a ribbon contender. |
