I'm hoping to leave comments on as many photo's in this challenge as possible... out of (currently) 1124 images, I gave 31 of them a 9. Your image was one of those 31.

There are lots of sea/sunset/pier pictures in this challenge, but yours is one of my favourites. I like the way the long exposure has fogged the water, giving the reflections of the sky a very muted appearance. Just enough foreground to tie the image together wonderfully with an extra splash of colour.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

There are a couple of panoramic shots in this challenge, but yours jumped out at me much more than the others. The lighting and colours are exquisite, with a nice brooding sky. It really makes Atlanta look beautiful (I have no idea whether it actually is!). I'm guessing you were limited by the horizontal dimension allowed for this challenge, I'd love to see this in it's full size/resolution.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

There aren't many portraits in this challenge, and certainly not many "great ones". Yours however is one of the greats. I think it's the unusual setting and pose which speak to me. A great departure from the "norm" with regards to portraits. I look forward to finding out who posted this image so I can check out more of your portfolio :-)

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

Of all the "studio" shots, this is the most fun. Such a creative imagination, it's the sort of idea that I can only dream of being insightful enough to come up with. Expertly lit and shot. An imaginative vision, wonderfully realised.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

In amongst a bunch of landscapes, portraits, sunsets, bug macros, this really is one of a kind. An incredible action shot, and one I'm sure was uncomfortable to capture - I know how far the heat from these inferno's can reach out. Fire is such a beatiful thing to look at but so destructive. I think you have perfectly captured both sides in this image.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

Lots of big cat photos in this challenge, but this one is so different to the others. Wonderful textures and fabulous lighting. The black background really makes the subject stand out, and the tonal range so limited yet so rich.

It's so hard to predict top 10, let alone ribbons with over 1000 images in the challenge, but as I gave out 16 x 10's and 31 x 9's, I'm predicting you will be in the top 50, but I'm hoping top 20 :-)

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

Not many still life's in this challenge, and certainly not many excellent ones. Yours is the stand out still life in this challenge. Gorgeous textures and colour palatte. Almost looks like a painting and wouldn't look out of place on a kitchen wall in a frame.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

Which city? Looks lovely at night. There are lots of nighttime cityscapes in the challenge but yours is on of the best. I love how the motion of the water has blurred the colour stripes, but yet left enough definition to be able to see the city inverted.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

One of the stand out "studio" shots in this challenge. The colour transitions in the streaks of light is clever and impactive. A simple idea but wonderfully executed.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

There are quite a few bug macros in this challenge but this is simply awesome, and a world apart from the others. The definition and clarity is superb, and the monochromatic treatment only serves to make the form and composition even more eye-grabbing. I don't like to guess at the photographer identity generally, but am I on safe ground thinking this is from our Robber Fly expert "GregoryB"?

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.
