merging with the sky by PennyStreetComment: Another great photo that I feel DNMC. I'm seeing the building as the subject of this shot, and the sky is in a supporting role, the opposite of the challenge brief. I really like the shot but I am torn. However, I'm knocking a point off for my perceived DNMC. |

Never Forgetby shutterflyComment: I'm saying the cityscape here is the main subject, with the sky in the supporting role, the opposite of the challenge brief. I think it's a fantastic image though so I am torn. Nonetheless, I'm knocking a point off for my perceived DNMC. |

The Bowby HighNoonerComment: Nicely composed shot and cleverly titled. However, I'm seeing the crane and the moon as the main subjects rather than the sky, and not as a "supporting role". Therefore I'm knocking a point off for my perceived DNMC. |

The sun in the skyby hajekaComment: A bit too much land I think.. this is slightly more than a supporting role. Love the feel of the shot though. |

Heliosby KarenNfldComment: I'm saying that the subject of your photo is the parachutists, not "the sky" as per the challenge. One could argue that they are "in" the sky, but they are not the sky. My wife actually thinks that this does meet the challenge (and I can't argue that it's a great shot - very simple in composition, and great visual impact), but unfortunately for you she's not voting, I am. Therefore, I will be knocking off a mark or two for my perception of a DNMC. Sorry |

Last night's conversationby aznymComment: Really nice abstract but this to me is a picture (however abstract) of some flowers, rather than of the sky. Therefore I will be knocking a mark or two off for my perception of a DNMC. That said, I would glady hang this on my bedroom wall. |

Balloon Baby Mobileby dahlinComment: Love the balloons, and a very nicely exposed shot. However, I'm seeing the subject as the balloons and not the sky. Once could argue that they are "in" the sky but I'm knocking a point off for my perceived DNMC. |

Plus, I think a slightly tighter crop losing the railing on the far left would be tidier. There are a few NYC shots in this challenge, this is one of the nicest. |

The Pierby HipychikComment: I feel the pier is more of a subject than the sky, albeit this composition feels natural. The pier lower down might not feel right but maybe would be more of a "supporting role" as per the challenge. Here I feel it is a key element. |
