Capturing the moments before Hermineby WonderDudeComment: A very intriguing image - I like the HDR effect (not sure if it is HDR - it has aspects of being an HDR image), but a very effective image. There is a little bit of perspective magic happening on the right with the curve in the beach - it almost looks like a wave curling over - interesting. A solid entry. |

Struggling Lakeby jomariComment: A case for "a little off the top" - maybe a third of the top of this image could be removed without impacting the image at all - in fact it would improve it tremendously. |

low ceilingby flahermaComment: While this image is a whole lot of nothing, it conveys a sense of depth and distance that is remarkable. The detailing of the water's surface and the very subtle cloud detailing is excellent. I really like this image. I'd vote for a top five finish for sure. |

The Riversideby GeorgesBogaertComment: Reflection images often are over done, but this is a good example of how to do it. Nice and crisp, sharp, interesting detail. One complaint is that the bottom third of the image could have been cut which would have improved it a lot. |

Oasisby Les_FeckComment: Photos often rely on the "story" effect - in short, the image should tell a story or allow the viewer to create a suitable story to fit the image. Snap shots unfortunately are for photo albums and this is a good competent snapshot. |
