 Lake Learmonth used to be a great venue for swimming and boating but over the past couple of decades it has been struggling. It has dried up completely (we walked right across it) then semi filled, then dried, then filled a bit. Apart from droughts there is too much competition for the water which used to flow in. Vineyards and a trout farm are drawing off so much that a full recovery seems unlikely.

A case for "a little off the top" - maybe a third of the top of this image could be removed without impacting the image at all - in fact it would improve it tremendously.
