Ancient urban settlement. Aerial view.by deadbrainComment: An interesting view point which might have been improved by changing the angle to create some dynamic tension. Interesting features, well focused with a minor issue with DOF. A solid entry into the challenge. |

Leafageby bnileshComment: Abstract with many features to appeal to the eye. The intersting angles are pleasing to the eye. Very simple, but complex at the same time - a perfect example of natural texture. The image does not appear to be forced in any way. Good control of the greens and whites. A very good entry. |

Yum Yumby keriboiComment: An interesting approach to the challenge subject matter. The contrasting nature of smooth fish scales and spiny urchins is a good concept. It would have been difficult to focus in more on the two creatures as a contrast, but this works as it is. A good entry. |

Buckets of Textureby daw52Comment: Properly composed with plenty of mono-tone texture. The background compliments the subject matter. The image is a little lacking in detail with regard to the subject matter with the smooth nature of the rusting gas cans, but the figured background helps some. A good effort. |

scalesby rodgers_leComment: There are two images here and with a half crop with each showing the head of the snake and demonstrating the regularly shaped textures. It works as it is though and is a very worthy entry into the challenge. |

Well Readby dafletchrComment: The use of grayscale to demonstrate the textures of well worn books is very inventive and works well. Very different textures from top to bottom - artistic presenting a very pleasing aesthetic impression. The top and bottom framing enhance the overall impression positively. Well done - a contender for sure. |

My snackby FarmrComment: The only fruit in the world with it's own packaging, the transitions from fruit to skin is excellant. A notable aspect is the skin strings hanging delicately off in the air and still attached almost as a bridge to the fruit. A complimentary background enhances the overall effect and is very pleasing to the eye. A great image, simple and purposeful at the same time. Well done. |

Off with the old!by jdixonsdComment: Intriguing imagery with the various shapes and colors. Very even color tone control across the entire image with complimentary color shades. Imparts a sense of time and space. A great image demonstrating natural world textures. A top 15 entry. |
