Challenge: Textures VI (Basic Editing)
Camera: Nikon D40

Aperture: 6.3
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/160

This was taken at the Story Inn in Brown County, Indiana. It has a very old fashioned feel to it, and I felt that this made an excellent shot for the "texture" competition since its got the line of rusty old buckets, as well as the torn up fence behind it. This is my first entry at this website and I hope to get some positive feedback to help grow as a photographer! Any feedback at all would be great! :)

This could be sharper. Maybe you couldn't because of what is there but I think moving the camera up just a little would help. The dark shadow adds nothing to the shot and there seems to be great texture in the fence that could be included toward the top. That would also give it more of a thirds composition which would be helpful in this case.

Very Nice !!! I love the Rustic nature of this one !!! The old antique cans add color and contrast to the days gone by !!!

Nicely seen and captured. I'll bet that old barn/shed/outbuilding is just full of cool shots! 7

Love the composition. Wish it was just a little more focused or sharper though. 5

nice shot. i'm not wild about the shadow, but that's just my preference.

Properly composed with plenty of mono-tone texture. The background compliments the subject matter. The image is a little lacking in detail with regard to the subject matter with the smooth nature of the rusting gas cans, but the figured background helps some. A good effort.

your focus seems to be a little soft...seems like it could be a bit sharper

I agree the buckets are very textured looking and the wood fencing adds even more texture. The lighting looks a flat and the dark shadows are a little distracting. Maybe a bit more contrast? And I wonder if cropping it different would be better - crop it just below the shelf to get rid of the dark shadows and then include more of the fence above.

A tighter shot, showing the texture of the rusty cans not describing the texture, would have been a better pix.
