Great colours and details! I like the way you have captured such a vivid red against black. The lighting is maybe a tiny bit harsh, but it's only a very minor complaint on an otherwise very nice image.

I remember marveling at the other version of this shot when I saw it. This one is another stunning capture.

I always marvel at the details you capture in these and your backgrounds are always really nice, which I think is what lifts yours above all the other bug macros.

Nice colours, and a nice scenic shot.

There's not too much to look at here overall, so while it's pretty at first glace, it doesn't hold my attention at all.

Straight off the mark because the small girl grabs your attention, I didn't see much else. After looking around for a bit I suddenly came across the guy in the black, holding what I'm guessing is some sort of electronic device, who for some reason despite looking really out of place, escaped my attention for the longest time! Just when I thought I had taken in everything, I spot all the psychic and tarot signs!

There's so much to take in on this shot, which is funny because at first glance there doesn't seem to be that much to look at at all!

I like shots of run down buildings and this one has a lot going for it. The sky, the long colourful grass, the details on the structure itself.

The downside of this for me is the composition. I think it needs a bit more space, some context to set the building in, some more of the surroundings perhaps.

It's hard to even tell it's a lake, it just looks like a snow covered road!

For me the closest tree blocks a lot of the shot. I suspect there's a tree line there and it would be nice to see them lead into the shot rather than be blocked off at the start. The ice and the path with both lead into the shot also seem to vanish behind the tree, again making it feel like it's just in the way.

Nice shot, love the processing.

It's funny how it seems to start off in good condition on the top left and then decay more as you go to the bottom right. There's almost two worlds here, a look into the old world where this building was in it's prime and then the modern run down look, yet they both seem to co-exist at the same time as you look at it.

I have visions of you standing dangerously on some rock on the edge of the water to take this, probably because I've done that in the past too.

This is a nice shot, though it's a shame you've cut the tops of the far trees off, it would have been good to see those and what's behind.

I always find half the beauty in these shots the details in the feathers etc, but the B&W conversion you've done seems to have lost a lot of that.

This version is quite interesting, especially the strong head area against a largely black background, but I'm not sure if it makes up for the loss of the other attributes.

And there was me thinking people used long lenses as well, now I understand how you all get those bird close up shots! :)

It's a fun capture, well timed, not sure how much converting to B&W has done for it though.
