Interesting ridges in the tree. More contrast would really bring out the subject. Looks like you found a great subject for the challenge. The abstract waves in the ridges make this composition fairly interesting. Post processing by bringing out the darks would really make this pop.

money with lots of texture

Unused Sponge

Very interesting compostion of a sponge. The closeup is very interesting in that you can see all the pores with the sponge itself. Love the shadows in the shot, it really gives you a sense of the texture of the sponge.

The color of the tree trunk almost looks golden. The composition is interesting with the tree reaching for the sky. Very nice capture of the perfect blue sky.

Unfortunately the most difficult color to photograph is the color red. Almost all digital cameras don't capture it like it looks in real life. Your composition is interesting in that it seems to contain different levels: the fence, the painter, the wall, and the sky. this makes for an interesting composition. Only suggestion is to level the way so that it lines up horizontal. Without the framing it may be more difficult to tell but with it the shot looks crooked.
