Tribute to all firesby danielcheong1974Comment: This photograph is wonderful for showing what the eye often misses. I wouldn't normally imagine the blue smoke (or fumes/very hot flame??) on the flame of a match, but here it is and the colours complement each other well. Composition wise, I'm not sure if this was framed/cropped afterwards too closely - the bottom blue curve looks cropped off (even if it isn't there, I would like to imagine that curl sweeping from the left, down and around up the right side). |

Pushing the lightby tejakitakComment: I like the idea, though I find the contrast too great - I can barely see the hands why the lamp detail is virtually lost through clipped highlights and it merges into the wall. |

Protophaserby androgeusComment: Interesting subject. You've handled the contrast well, but I would have liked to see a bit more in focus for my eye to rest on. |

walking on the bridgeby slartibartfastComment: Nice lines, though the butterfly doesn't look like it caught the focus, maybe the focus is behind it, on the leaves? As the butterfly is in the centre of the photo I expect the eye to at least be sharp. |

Windingby nico_blueComment: So interesting and organic. I feel it could have done with even bigger depth of field, the centre seems to go into a blur rather than infinity |

Wildebeest on the Moveby AspenDComment: Wonderful sight and well handled exposure. I wonder what a closer crop would be like, especially at least to remove the fence which reminds me too much of a safari park rather than of sheer natural beauty |

Trainloadby naomikComment: Fun photo! The tree ferns prehistoric, the train & tracks fairly ancient and the tourists and their P&S cameras 21st century! |
