Like a shard of memory that juts out at the oddest time, obliterating chronology. I like the suddenness of this, the disjunction. Also, the overlay seems to be projected from the upper right apex, a queasy sci-fi notion. Subtly provocative and jarring.

WHATTHA .. !!! .. took me a few seconds to work out what was going on ..
certainly a bathing cap with a difference .. and one that a masochist would enjoy wearing .. i feel this fits the challenge .. i had to google avant garde to really know what it meant as regards photography etc ..
i like the strangeness of this and the crazy green background .. :)
