An appealing image that meets the challenge
I like your low viewpoint Janine that puts an emphasis on the foreground water, I think without this it would struggle as a waterscape given the prominence of the rocky surroundings, as it is they are still rather too dominating. The motion of the water is about right plenty of motion but not so much as all detail is lost, a pleasing balance. A pleasing image, thanks Janine. |

An appealing image that contributes well to the open challenge
Your title may well be the name of the place if so, it is very appropriate. The scene looks very tranquil and peaceful, the sort of place you would like to while away the time at. Your composition is good with the road leading you into the farm below in an inviting sort of way. Although the lighting is quite frontal you have quite a nice 3D effect. It all works very well, well seen and captured Janine |

An appealing image that meets the challenge well
What distinctive birds these are with their spoon shaped bills, hence the name. As a record documentary image this fits the bill (excuse the pun) and also meets the challenge with its reflection. There are a couple of things I̢۪m not so keen on, its a tad overexposed there is a lack of detail around the head and shoulders and the other is the plastic pipe that just serves to emphasise that this is a captive bird. Given the challenge brief I would have cropped this image just above his feet omitting the ring, thus serving to emphasise the reflection and eliminating the problems I have mentioned and making it a more natural looking environment. |

A great viewpoint that makes for an interesting and dynamic scene. My first reaction was not too positive feeling that it was over-processed and that is somewhat still my feeling, however, the more I look at it the more it grows on me. I am enjoying the immediate foreground seas the most, in fact, if I crop it just below the upper background structure I feel it makes it a far stronger image, I’d be interested in your thoughtsâ€Â¦? |

I̢۪m so envious Janine, it must have been a wonderful spectacle to experience. You have certainly got to grips with the technical difficulties associated with such a shot, well done. The tones and spread of the corona are very appealing, they make the image work superbly. |
