sophisticatedby hopperComment by scalvert: Nice photo, Hopper, but I liked the lighting soooo much better on your last Portrait challenge entry. This is fairly flat by comparison. Composition and focus are good- just a little more contrast on that light would help immensely. |

Balance of Natureby hopperComment by cghubbell: One of the strengths of a macro is displaying the intrinsic beuty in an abject that we'd otherwise miss without magnification. I'm just not seeing anything in thei image I find aesthetically pleasing or unexpected. |

sophisticatedby hopperComment by KaDi: This does have that "sophisticated" look about it, due in part, no doubt, to the lovely lighting. I think the hand could be better posed--perhaps the head could rest more on them or the fingers could open a bit more. The shadow they cast on the chin also hurts the feel of the composition a bit. |

sophisticatedby hopperComment by Beagleboy: Nice head shot, but the position of the hands looks unnatural and gives a stronger "staged" feeling to the image than it should have and gives an overall feeling of awkwardness. However, I do like that themodel is looking over her glasses and that we don't see any reflections. I little more work could have removed the darkness under the eyes. |

sophisticatedby hopperComment by L1: The lighting, focus, and color in this portrait are all fine, but I don't particularly care for the pose and the dead-on center composition. Her hands are in a bit of an awkward pose, and they are casting a shadow across her chin. You are on the right track, however. Good effort. :o) PS...had to add that I just figured out she is holding something...a book perhaps? It would look less awkward if it were more visible IMHO. :o) |

snail on a leaf?by hopperComment by melismatica: Pretty ordinary occurance. I like the texture of the leaf but the snail looks rather drab. I would like to see far less of the blurred background in the left half of the frame. |
