View from the Looby jomariComment by Ecce_Signum: I first saw this on my phone and thought there were too many 'blocks' for this to work but back homeon the laptop this looks super and yes, it should have been saved for the challenge ;) |

View from the Looby jomariComment by nam: This is terrific and a most interesting natural abstract. I'd forgotten about BW Abstract - will have to be more attentive to what I post in this side challenge. |

View from the Looby jomariComment by GeneralE: There is a building in my neighborhood with some of these glass bricks -- they are one of my "favorite" subjects for square/rectangular shots. Excellent work to bring out all the random detail. |

Outby jomariComment by Germaine: Nice contrast between the texture of the grass and the texture of the water. Also, the contrast between the spray of the grass and the parallel lines of the waves and the horizon. |

Solitude by jomariComment by Teafran: This is a much more complex image that it first appears. It certainly fits the criteria of minimalist both in concept and execution, the sense of over whelming distance, time and space mirrors the minimalist genre perfectly. Well done. |

Outby jomariComment by Ecce_Signum: The grasses look warm and inviting but the water does not o I'll sit amongst the grass and wastch from there. |

Outby jomariComment by nam: Like Robert, I appreciate the balance here. The first thing I notice is the centered spray of the grass in the foreground. Then the paddler in the center just above it. It takes the square crop to draw our attention to these elements, I think, and that is a good thing. |

Outby jomariComment by Bear_Music: Rather a lovely balance to this one. It's interesting how the energy of the relatively dormant foreground greatly exceeds the energy of the presumably much more kinetic sea :-) |
