Our town has done a number of these projects - not cows but the large sculptures that are provided to different artists who then decorate them as they wish. Usually they are eventually sold with the proceeds going to some good cause.
I love the bright colors and patchwork pattern here. |

| Lovely colours :) A few years ago working in Norwich (UK) we had 12 painted Elephants installed around the City. A bright spark I worked with noticed they were all in view of Pubs so, the great 12 pub pub crawl began (I don't remember seeing the last few lol). |

| Love it! This was done here in Harrisburg, PA a number of years ago and quite a few of them are still around. |
