That lizard is really well camouflaged! Interesting critter he is. My Turkey images in this thread were taken with my Sony P&S. Love it for being very versatile. Not as many manual adjustments as on a DSLR but it still produces fine images.

I feel that this didn't score well because it is sort of "busy" looking. There seems to be an ambiguous point where the images need to be very simple, with one central subject and focus point, or the other way, a very broad landscape sort of thing in order to have the "it" factor. The ones in between, no matter how beautiful, seem to just not get the big votes.
Personally, I can see what you were after here, and I do like the shot for it's natural shapes and colors. Wild flowers of any type are one of the things that I enjoy seeing anytime. It looks like a shot that I would shoot for myself.
