final journeyby tangueraComment by Paul: This image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (Voted earlier)
Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.
This is one of my 8s - I like it. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:
1. Another Johanna Ghost fabric shot - this one is very figure-in-a-dress-without-the-figure like; the fabric has great form.
2. I really like the contrast between subject and background; both photographically and in relation to the delicacy of the fabric and the monolithic nature of the architecture.
3. I like how it is nearly monochrome but still clearly colour.
Great stuff - I like how this is part of a series too - how it articulates with a body of work. |

dreams of goldby tangueraComment by MaryO: I can't see a field of poppies without hearing the Wicked Witch of the West in my head LOL! Beautifully dreamy.might have more impact for me with a tighter crop. |

dreams of goldby tangueraComment by CNovack: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
The hills look lovely when the poppies blossom and blanket them during the spring. I think the one suggestion I have that would help improve this shot is to tone down the glamor or guassian blur layer for it adds too much softness & glow that it takes away from the natural beauty. |
