interesting shot, however, it took me quite a while and rlooking at this several times in order to decide that it was water on the left side. it is a bit too washed out for my tatstes and appeared at first ot be like a tarp or something being pulled across the boat. i would be interested in seeing your original shot of this

I like the image. The composition is very nice - structured, but not too symmetric. The tone control is excellent - deep blacks and bright whites and smooth grays. Challenge-wise, I think the 8 - 10 numbers are very strong, but he 11 and 12 detract from the theme. OK, ignore that, they actually make my eye pop to the high contast area. 10 from me.
