Into the Millions by ZoomdakComment by m_sarzynski: I am really curious to see how you accomplished this FANTASTIC shot! I love the texture of it and the lack of readability of the "digits" is perfect for this challenge! |

Crashing Downby ZoomdakComment by Haneck: Fantastic! You've captured this powerful sense of disaster and wild violence. It might be cool if there was a little big more red in the flames, instead of just red... but i also like it just as it is. Excellent! |

Into the Millions by ZoomdakComment by fotoz: This is a breath of fresh air after the other entries I have seen so far. Well done for the double representation AND great visual impact. |

Through the Blazeby ZoomdakComment by aliqui: I agree with the posters below. This shot could sell given the right venue. I can honestly say I've never seen a photo quite like it. It's an excellent representation of the heat firefighters endure. Those waves are intense!
On a technical standpoint I think the photo could use a little cropping. As it is right now the left shingles in the frame compete for my attention. I'd take a 640 crop from the lower right. That takes some off the top and some off the left. You lose that lick of fire coming in from the top which I really like, but I think it improves the photo as a whole.
Hindsight: Actually the more I flip between my trial edit and yours I don't know which I like better! It's a great photo either way.

Into the Millions by ZoomdakComment by eqsite: A very compelling and dramatic image. It seems to be a study of the impact of the cold, hard numbers on the individual psyche (or maybe I'm just bs'ing myself ;) This is strong, though, and I like it. Nice work. |
